In case you were wondering…

What does a holistic life coach do?

A holistic life coach works with clients in their entirety. This means factoring in the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual aspects of a person and how they interact with one another. It also means looking at diet and movement and explaining how these too, can impact our physical and emotional wellbeing. In highlighting these inherent connections, a holistic life coach lays the foundations for the client to take conscious control of their own lives, thereby achieving lasting change.

How does it differ from therapy?

Both therapy and holistic life coaching are about helping clients to become happier in themselves and their lives, and while some therapists would say they do everything a coach does, the same cannot be said in reverse. For a start, holistic life coaches are not healthcare professionals, which means they are neither able or allowed to diagnose or treat mental health problems. Equally, while therapy might focus on past traumas or painful issues as a way of ultimately moving forward, a holistic life coach does not dig deep into what has gone before. They look more closely at the here and now and the place a client wants to go. However, they do go far enough back to help clients uncover the belief systems formed in their early years, and they then use concrete action steps to help the client make the changes they’re looking for.

Who is coaching for?

It is for anyone who feels they need a little help dealing with a given aspect of life, or with life generally. I can help in many situations. For example: If you are feeling overwhelmed by an upcoming change, or by a desire to make changes but are stuck on the how; if you are struggling to get off social media and into the real world, if you are a single parent and feeling the pressures of going it alone; if you are stressed by having too much on your plate; if you would like some help in changing your diet and energy levels; if you lack self-confidence or self-belief or if you are just unhappy and can’t quite work out why. The best way to find out if we are a good fit, is to get in touch for a discovery call.

How can it help me?

There are many ways in which holistic life coaching can help you. Let’s imagine you feel stuck in a particular pattern of thought or behaviour, or that you would like to try something totally new but don’t know how to make it happen, or that you compare yourself to perfect strangers on social media, struggle to feel enthusiastic about your life choices, lack confidence, want to gain more physical and mental energy by changing what you eat, are stressed or overwhelmed… In any of these scenarios and so many more, holistic life coaching can help you understand the subconscious beliefs that are driving you. That understanding becomes the starting point for disrupting your beliefs so you can make conscious choices about how you want to live your life.

What time commitment do I have to make?

That’s really up to you. It may be that you come with something that requires just one or two sessions. But often, you would be looking at a commitment of between 4 and 10 sessions. And commitment is key. If you’re not dedicated to the process, it cannot and will not get you the results you are hoping for.

Where does coaching take place?

Sessions are conducted over zoom and are an hour long. If, however, you live in the Berlin area, I can also offer a mix of coaching over zoom and out in nature. We would decide on a session-by-session basis which you prefer. If you opt for a session in nature, we would agree on a particular park that is accessible to us both.

How do I know if we’re a good fit?

A discovery call up front would help to give us a sense of each other and whether it would be beneficial for us to work together. See the contact page for info on how to get in touch with me.

How much does it cost?
